Watch the video 7 Steps to the FAFSA, for a helpful walkthrough of the 2017-2018 application form.

  1. Complete the online FAFSA.
  2. Indicate Grand Rapids Community College’s school code (002267) for GRCC to receive your FAFSA information electronically. It may take up to five business days for the college to receive this information.

Next Steps

A student aid report (SAR) will be sent directly to you. When you receive your SAR, look it over carefully to make sure it is correct, since this is the information GRCC will receive electronically. The information on this SAR will be used to determine your eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant and for most other types of aid. If corrections are needed, follow the directions on your SAR.

If you need assistance completing or making corrections to your FAFSA, you may stop in the Financial Aid Office, during office hours and a Financial Aid Advisor will be available to assist you.
